Hey There!

I was diagnosed with invasive Ductal Carcinoma and Aggressive Breast Cancer on October 11, 2022. I felt my whole world crashing in on me and couldn't believe this was happening to me. I've always done regular self-breast exams and routine mammograms. My self-exam was different, there was no lump, only pain. I was already dealing with a diagnosis of Fibromyalgia for the last 25 years.

I started a  six month chemotherapy treatment plan in November 2022. Chemotherapy was very harsh on my body but I endured. I finished treatments and rang the bell on April 4, 2023. I've been in a lot of pain due to neuropathy and pain in my entire body. I did immunotherapy  infusions every three weeks for several months. I had a double mastectomy with reconstructive surgery in May 2023. I took a leave of absence from work but was let go in December 2023.

Despite all of the challenges I was going through my life was starting to come back together. I went for my annual biopsy in August 2025 and was told by my doctor that I was no longer in remission. That news was a slap in my face!! I was diagnosed with two different types of stage IV breast cancer, Tripe negative and Hormone preceptor positive. Cancer was in my spine and liver and I'm currently on a six month chemotherapy plan until the end of 2026.

I have an amazing support system!! My loving husband has been awesome working tiresomely to take care of me. My family and friends have been so supportive throughout this devasting time in my life. I'm making it a point to keep a positive outlook even though sometimes it gets a little challenging. I'm a fighter and I plan on beating this for the second time.
